Paul Rand
Paul Rand is a graphic designer who embraced design at a very young age. He painted signs for his fathers grocery store and for school. Paul's father didn't think art would provide him with "sufficient livelihood". Paul was born in 1914 and died in 1996. In his lifetime he made many famous logos with early technology.

I like Paul Rand's graphic designs because they are original and I love the simplicity of his work. His designs are very eye popping and well recognized logos.

I personally really enjoy Paula Scher's work because of her word art. her word art is so simple and professional but sometimes it is really flashy and eye-grabbing. I think Paula does a good job at logos but i think she does a better job when creating posters.

I like woody Pirtle's work the most out of the three I chose. I like his work because of the impacts and messages his designs give off, they are quite literal yet metaphorical. My favourite design is "The Good Diner" because it is symbolic of him to put a halo over the coffee mug hense GOOD DINER, this symbolically captures exactly the company's name.
